Senior Scala Developer

Overall Purpose of the Role

They are looking for experienced (5+ years) Scala/Java developer to work on the Trade feeds component of the risk calculation platform within the global Strats Team.

Main Responsibilities

As a team member you will be:

• Working in cross-functional agile team on the whole stack of the system.
• Communicating with stakeholders (Strats Team) to understand their needs.
• Architecting and designing solutions to evolve existing components and functionality.
• Maintaining system in production.
• Participating in product delivery process alignment and improvement.

Experience/Background

• Scala and Java language core concepts and features.
• Data structures and algorithms.
• RESTfull and SOAP web services.
• Persistence integration (JDBC, SQL frameworks).
• JVM runtime analysis in UNIX-based environment.
• Agile development methodologies (TDD).
• Software development lifecycle and DevOps utilities.
• Verbal/written communication in English on technical topics (ready to pass interview in English).

Experience/Requirements (will be a plus)

• Trade Capture systems.
• Development and data analysis using Python 3.
• Oracle PL/SQL development and administration.
• Front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Deployment technologies: Ansible.
• C/C++ experience.

Environment & Technologies:

• Team of around 5 members located in Moscow, London.
• OS: Linux.
• Language: Scala, Python 3, C++.
• UI: HTML.
• Database: MariaDB.
• Connectivity: JMS, REST API.
• Build/Deploy: Gradle, TeamCity, Artifactory, Ansible.
• VCS: Git.
