Exness, a leading foreign exchange broker in the financial services field, is looking to engage a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Exness Technology Department remotely or with relocation to Limassol, Cyprus.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be a part of the Data Platform Department.

A chosen candidate will be deeply engaged in the activities and projects of their cross-functional team. About them: they develop different data products like a DWH, data integration tools, and APIs to access their data. They work a lot with other teams and their data sources to collect data for their DWH. They provide data products like data marts, aggregated and streaming data for internal customers. This data supports Data-Driven Decision Making. All their work has an impact on business development at Exness.

You will be responsible for owning test strategies, improving tools and processes, validating them, running E2E suites, and empowering a developing team to move faster with higher confidence in quality. You will work in a highly collaborative environment and will own the testing process end-to-end.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate in the planning, design, development, deployment, and enhancements of data integration products and DWH.
Develop, construct and maintain test suites to verify the validity and accuracy of Data Integration and ETL processes.
Collaborate with the team to define and describe data policies, standards, and guidelines for other teams to connect their data sources.
Collaborate with the team to invent the reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and other data quality processes on the data.
Investigate with the team data quality issues and work on data quality improvement.
Ensure data solutions quality will support business requirements.
Help with the definition and implementation of the best practices within the team that ensure the quality of the data solutions.
Collaborate with the team members on troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Analyze and test new features before the kick-off meetings.
Participate in user acceptance testing.

Requirements

4+ years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Automation experience with Python.
Expert structured query language (SQL) knowledge.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL, querying, and data integration techniques.
Experience influencing software engineers with the best practices within your team.
Hands-on testing experience in working with stream processing systems is a plus.
Experience with data streaming products (like Kafka Connect or Debezium) as a plus.
Experience with advertising platforms (like Google Ads) as a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Result-driven orientation (prioritizing, taking initiative, taking ownership).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Spoken and written English — upper-intermediate level or above.
Spoken and written Russian — fluent level.
