Data Interfaces Team Lead

What you will do

Together with the team you will construct the architecture for data integration solutions and ensure it supports business requirements.

How you will do it

As a technical lead:

• Lead a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data API solutions.
• Ensure the implementation and extension of several data API solutions.
• Strive to increase the frequency and accuracy of data for all requests.
• Evaluate and implement the technologies, tools used within the team; is the final decision-maker in choice of team’s technologies and instruments.
• Lead building a company-wide data API solutions.
• Ensure that features are accurately estimated and delivered as planned.
• Ensure that all data API solutions developed within the team satisfy the business requirements as specified.
• Spends part of the time to independently solve problems that correspond to professional skills.

As a line manager:

• Lead team members in the creation of high-quality data solutions within agreed deadlines according to the Platform Department policies and procedures, including hiring, development, performance review and feedback to the team members (/together with Line manager, L&D manager and HRBP).
• Train and integrate new team members and proactively support the continued development of existing team members (/together with Line manager, L&D manager and HRBP).
• Participate in team goals setting and individual goal setting if needed.
• Inspire and motivate team members by his/her own example.
• Is aware about each member of the team, their strengths, weaknesses and effectiveness, whilst translating each of their behaviours into clear tasks and objectives to improve their individual performance.

They want you to have this

Technical skills:

• Experience in software development 6+ year (Python / Go from 2 years) as an advantage.
• Good knowledge of the full-cycle of software development. (Experience in big enterprise companies as a plus.
• Expert structured query language (SQL) knowledge.
• Strong affinity for following standards and best practices.
• Experience of covering product by unit, integrational and load tests.
• Skills associated with providing data via API’s: DWH level, REST API, streams, web sockets.
• Able to weight the benefits of developing solution vs purchasing a 3rd party service.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud solutions is a plus.
• You share and cultivate DevOps culture (continuous integration, continuous delivery) and Agile mindset.
• You have a “helicopter view” and a broad technical outlook.

Soft skills:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and passionate about data quality.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Ability to cascade duties and delegate responsibilities.
• Fluent Russian, strong verbal and written communication in English.
