Exness, a leading foreign exchange broker in the financial services field, is looking for a professional and highly organized manager in the Business Intelligence department who will be responsible for building, standardizing, and continuously improving operational processes both within the department and outside it. These processes include operational planning, project management within the department, resource planning, operational reporting, workflows of cross-functional analytical teams, external communications, etc.

The candidate will have to interact with teams inside BI department and stakeholders within the company, describe and implement operational improvements, harmonizing them with company policies and global changes.

The position of BI Operations Manager assumes direct reporting to the Head of BI, close interaction with two managers of key areas — Business Data Science Manager and Business Analysis and Reporting Manager in order to build effective operational work within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate the creation, monitoring, and reporting of the BI operations plan to meet the strategic goals.
  • Managing department projects and strategic initiatives according to corporate methodology.
  • Coordinate and constantly improve regular operation reporting process; arrange and maintain timely updated roadmaps and performance reports;.
  • Facilitate improvements in operation workflow of cross-functional domain teams and functional teams, interconnection with Data Platform and other departments of the company.
  • Facilitate applying and maintain incremental iterative approaches (Scrum and Kanban) in teamwork, arrange planning procedures, retrospective analysis of performance, ensure achievement of all action points.
  • Manage internal knowledge space in Confluence, describe internal department procedures and policies, take part in applying them.
  • Manage communication channels of BI in the corporate portal, prepare announcements, arrange BI demo-days to communicate to stakeholders project status and results.
  • Suggest and implement improvements on their management tools.
  • Conduct the regular review of all operational processes and procedures in order to ensure the most effective way of operational excellence in a technology environment.
  • A continuous identification and implementation of operational best practice, identifying and highlighting further opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Project/Process/Operations Management in the data-related environment (Data Science, Analytics, Data Warehousing).
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Information System, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Econometrics, etc.).
  • Strong experience in process analysis, identification, description, and automation using different tools and techniques; process management certification (BPMN, etc.) considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in management of Data Science/ Data Engineering-related projects (development and applying ML-models in products/operations, data warehousing, data analytical systems, data products, etc.). PRINCE2/PMP certification considered as an advantage.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology, experience in applying Scrum and Kanban frameworks. Relevant certifications considered as an advantage.
  • Understanding of corporate strategic management and execution procedures, BSC framework.
  • Excellent Russian and English communications and presentation skills.
  • A strong business acumen and problem-solving ability, adaptability and stress tolerance.
