Lead iOS Developer (Paced)

Role overview

Paced is a novel approach to time management in general. However, it still has all the intricacies of classical calendars: shifting timezones, various use cases, and competing and incompatible APIs. And all that on top of all classical challenges of having an offline-first mobile app.

Currently, we have a modern iOS React Native app written in TypeScript. However, even considering that we’re pretty happy with the architecture and the codebase state, we need a team of experienced developers to scale it further: both in terms of stability and new features.

What we are expecting from you

We want you to bring your iOS Development expertise: review and propose changes to the architecture, develop new features across the stack (from UI to the local DB calls), and review pull requests to share the knowledge.

Challenges

We understand that changing stacks from iOS Native to React Native could take some time (and willingness), but we’re pretty sure that for a skilled developer is happening in a matter of weeks. Even if the programming language is different, tasks and challenges are still the same: and with your understanding of the underlying platform, you can start bringing value from day one.

• You have at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
• You’re great at understanding the direction and figuring the plan by yourself.
• You’re great at wearing different “hats” every day, and it is clear to you that roles can.
• Be blurry sometimes at early-stage startups.
• You love small UI details, and you love to code them.
• You care about productivity, time management, and self-reflection.
• You’re ok with changing stack to React Native.
