QA Specialist

Responsibilities

• Take ownership over the quality assurance process and execution, and establish a comprehensive QA and testing program.
• Formulate a deep understanding of the product and end user requirements.
• Ensure the quality of releases and data integrity through a rigorous testing routine.
• Identify key areas where automated testing can be implemented and provide the dev team with appropriate testing scenarios to be incorporated into code.
• Design and execute manual tests of new features and releases; troubleshoot any problems thoroughly and follow through to resolution.
• Implement and continuously improve QA/testing tools and procedures in line with industry.
• Best practice and a focus on scalability.
• Implement and execute a suitable schedule for testing across multiple browsers/devices.

Requirements

• A natural and creative problem solver with a logical mindset.
• Ability to understand the technical architecture of the product; experience and/or education in a technical discipline is essential.
• Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Jira/Confluence, AWS (serverless) SQL/relational databases, ORM, Python, JavaScript, React, Typescript and modern test frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in security and penetration testing would be advantageous.
• Given the nature of the data held, an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) or a similar police clearance certificate will be required.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Contract conditions
